The brief
Alpen sells cars and rents them out, and until now advertised on a classifieds portal — where every listing looks like every other listing and the business has no address of its own.
The site gives each car a page of its own, and keeps sales and rental apart without duplicating the machinery behind them.
What we built
- A page per vehicle — ten for sale, nine in the rental fleet — generated from one data file
- Filtering by make, price and body type on the listing pages
- Cars without a photograph fall back to a drawn silhouette of the body type instead of a grey box
- A photo credits page: the images are Wikimedia Commons under CC licences, which require attribution
